This image of a kawaii girl wasn’t my first intention. I wanted a doll looking but it turned into a cute little portrait of one of the MidJourney AI-generated artistic images. It’s a girl with Yami Kawaii (病みかわいい) aesthetics. Basically, it’s kind of a dark ill look but not exaggerated in this image–keep it super cute!
I wanted a cute sweet face with a slightly evil smile and high-quality rendering. I added keywords to have a pink her and make it look like a cyborg. The upscale with more details didn’t look as good, so I used the “Light Upscale Redo” option available as it appears less detailed, but smoother. This made the face more pretty and smooth.
Still, it maintained a good amount of details in the hair and I like that the neck part where the cyborg metallic part appear exists in the image. Otherwise, just the head would appear weird.
The most important thing for me in many human AI-generated images is to keep the face symmetrical (not on any image of course). For this, sometimes I add the phrases “symmetrical face” and “symmetrical eyes”. It doesn’t help always but I see many others using it. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it isn’t. Usually, if you go with keywords like “model”, “barbie”, “cute”, “adorable”, and “beautiful” it will skew the face rendering towards something that looks more even and symmetrical. At least based on my experience using MidJourney.
