I was watching Rocket League World Champions, and with the “Atomic” nickname of a player who played for G2 ESports, it gave me an idea–make cute monstrous creatures looking like mushroom-shaped atomic bomb nuclear explosions! (funny where I get inspiration from lol).
Anyway, I wanted it to look realistic but like a propaganda poster-like. It needs to look dramatic, with lots of explosions, with city background, strong contrast, and have intricate details for the nuclear explosion that basically defined the humanoid mushroom exploding character.
After I nailed it down with good AI art using Midjourney, it’s all about refreshing and getting variations until I get some really good results. It took me quite some time to find great beautiful AI artistic images that I was satisfied with.
I also, same as I did with WW2 Owl squad AI art–it’s all about a strong contrast between the cute and dramatic and harsh situations of war.

I think the results are amazing, Huminifying the explosion turned out to be great. You can see because of the word “mushroom” the explosions take some of the mushroom color and share of course.
All Midjourney arts were made with highly detailed upscale.
Now you don’t have to add the word “mushroom” as the “nuclear explosion” phrase will me it appear like it. But it gets more mushroomy-shaped if you add it. The two last images were made by omitting the ‘mushroom’ keyword.
