This set of keywords was inspired by other works. I realized the strong results you get using “hair twirling in the wind” will lead, combined with some colors hints “white, black, gray, silver, blue, red” will lead to.
This was just perfect for a portrait with a more dynamic look. I start generating lots of those until I got something that I really liked. I wanted a very strong personality and staring eyes.
Of course, like in many times, a detailed upscaled had some really bad results.
Even the non-upscaled results in Midjourney were far from being what I wanted with bizarre-looking eye and nose shapes.
So I brought the AI-generated portrait image to Photoshop to do some adjustments. Although it’s far from being perfect still looks much better. I use copy-paste with the eyes and nostrils area, refined the nose using Liquify filter for a more rounded look, and moves the mid part to the middle. I felt like a digital plastic surgeon.
The non-detailed upscaled version had no hair on the face as you can see. A huge difference and why sometimes you might prefer going that way and maybe using the –uplight attribute so you won’t get it and need to redo it.
The choice for a wide aspect ratio is perfect here as it helps emphasize the horizontal look of the hair twirling in the wind.
I didn’t want to touch the lipstick at the top lip it was actually perfect like that. I did need to also make some of the missing hair in the right area, although it’s not “perfect” it’s good enough. As I told you, I can spend a whole day on an image and I’ll probably be won’t 100% satisfied.
But overall, a stunning AI artwork of an Asian woman with a beautiful red accent on her hair and lips, soft yet strong. The contrast of the soft hair and the strong look and colors made it look captivating and powerful, at least to my eyes.
